Most hydration products get formulated by people who never had to be somewhere at 6am, sit through three hours of lecture on four hours of sleep, and perform at practice by 4pm. We have. Here is a mid-week training day, and where hydration fits into it.
6:00am: Lift
An early lift means training on whatever sleep you got, which most weeks is not much. That is a real fluid and electrolyte loss before the day has properly started, and it is the loss most people ignore because it feels too early to think about.
8:00am to 1:00pm: Classes on top of a deficit
You go from the lift straight into class without fully replacing what you lost. Most people reach for coffee or a sugar-loaded sports drink, which covers caffeine and calories but skips the sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium and calcium that left your body two hours earlier.
1:00pm to 3:00pm: The window that gets skipped
One stick, 400ml to 500ml of water, taken 1 to 3 hours before the next session, is the entire protocol. Most people skip it anyway, because nothing in the day forces them to stop and think about it.
4:00pm: Practice or a session
Whatever you did not replace shows up here, usually in the final 20 minutes, usually as cramping or a drop in output. That drop is an electrolyte deficit, not a conditioning problem.
Evening: Recovery, then the same day again tomorrow
One day like this you can manage on willpower. A season of them, you cannot, if hydration stays an afterthought instead of a step. We built NOXE around this exact schedule: something that fits the gap between a lift and a class, adds no sugar or caffeine on top of everything else in your day, and replaces what training takes out.
